ANTSIG – KEEPING AUSTRALIANS CONNECTED

ANTSIG is Australia’s largest manufacturer and supplier of high-quality television antennas, audio visual and telecommunications accessories, and allied products designed to keep Australians ‘connected’.

Fully owned by the private Australian electronics and electrical company Arlec Australia Pty Ltd, ANTSIG exists to meet the specific needs of Australasian customers.

Now approaching its 45th anniversary, ANTSIG has proved itself as a reliable and permanent supplier in a dynamic and ever-changing industry.

ANTSIG HISTORY

ANTSIG, as it is now known, can trace its history back to 1970 when it was established under the business name Austenna. In its early years the business serviced mostly trade clients, gaining a reputation as Australia’s largest fabricator of antennas in an era of rapid growth.

The company underwent a significant restructure in 1983, at which time it was renamed Antenna Signals (from where the brand ‘ANTSIG’ is derived). This renaissance coincided with a shift in emphasis from trade to consumer-focused sales.

Arlec Australia purchased ANTSIG in 1997 and immediately initiated a fresh phase of growth and renewal, shifting manufacturing operations from Richmond to Arlec’s headquarters (at the time in Chirnside Park), and commencing a program of product development to increase the number and scope of its product ranges.

This corporate expansion coincided with dramatic technological advances in the nation’s telecommunications industries. Milestones included the introduction of Pay TV services in the late 1990s, as well as the adoption of digital TV formats in metropolitan areas in 2001. ANTSIG responded to these and other technological advances with professionalism, attention to detail, and speed.

Today hundreds of products carry the ANTSIG brand – and product development never pauses. Our products are distributed throughout all of Australia’s major hardware and home ware retail outlets, including Bunnings, Mitre 10, Danks, and Big W, alongside sister products in the Arlec ranges, backed up by the industry’s most respected support networks for both retailers and consumers.
